This position is responsible for monthly resident billing and collection. Tracks all cash receipts and records daily census.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Processes monthly billing for residents and clients. Prepares and submits statements to responsible parties.                                               
  2. Audits billing statements; records ancillary charges to billing system; prepares refund requests for overpayment of services as necessary for the purpose of ensuring accurate distribution of payments.                                                          
  3. Insures timely collection of receivables and manages collections. 
  4. Maintains daily census; calculates finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by resident/client.  
  5. Effectively communicates and answers resident billing questions. 
  6. Reconciles monthly assigned general ledger accounts, as well as resident deposits. 
  7. Assists with related accounting/finance projects, as required. 
  8. Maintains Excel checkbook spreadsheet for all deposits and reconciles with bank statement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a minimum three years of recent experience processing accounts receivable.       Experience with medical/insurance billing; regulations, and terminology is a plus.
  • Knowledge of double entry accounting; ability to reconcile accounts and understands audit requirements.
  • Excellent computer skills required with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Microsoft 365 is preferred; requires high degree of accuracy & confidentiality; strong computation and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Point Click Care preferred.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks.       Ability to research inquiries and find resolutions quickly.
  • Team player with excellent customer service skills; Appreciates seniors and works well with aging persons in a continuing care environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and writing skills.
